Motown Museum has an Opening for an Inventory Coordinator!!! Currently, we are seeking to fill a full-time Inventory Coordinator position for our retail operation. Essential Functions Responsible for maintaining merchandise levels and conducting regular physical inventory counts at all retail locations. Process shipments ensuring that all merchandise and supplies are well organized, properly stored, and in good condition. Use inventory software to record, track, and maintain all inventory related data and compare them to the physical store inventory. Direct and supervise staff. Conduct staff training on POS system, folding technique(s), replenishment, etc. Monitor opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to verifying end of the day proceeds and reconciling deposits. Competencies Exceptional basic mathematical skills required Inventory management skills preferred Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to make sound judgments and decisions relative to retail services and inventory management Excellent verbal and written communication; and interpersonal skills Self-directed and motivated Attention to detail Capable of working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Education/Experience Minimum two (2) year degree in Retail Management, Inventory Management, or related field preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a retail environment. Inventory experience is preferred. Must be available to work weekends, evenings and some holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a drug screen and background check, and at least 18 years of age.
