Job Description

Position Summary:

The Programmer Analyst reviews and interprets the needs of the user/business providing technical support for the Information Technology department, such as coding, designing, implementing and debugging programs in general, at the direction of the Software Development Manager.

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes end-user needs and develops user-oriented solutions which interface with existing applications
  • Designs the systems or programs and coordinates the review of specification, testing and final user sign-off
  • Coordinates all aspects of implementation and training to support new programs/system, including user documentation
  • Recommends improved operational procedures to maximize systems efficiency.
  • Ensures system integrity, assists in installation of technological upgrades.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 4+ years’ experience using iSeries, RPGIII/VI, ILE, CLP, DBU, and SQL
  • AS400 and EDI experience a plus
  • API development a plus
  • Strong analytical skills a must
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with internal customers
  • Strong leadership skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally moves up to 30 lbs.
  • Operate a computer
  • Sit daily/stand occasionally
