Job Description

The Regional Controller for the Americas will manage the Finance function of the company. He/she is responsible to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company financial statements for all divisions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).He/she is also responsible to safeguard company assets by maintaining internal financial controls, to provide monthly profitability analysis and improvement.

  • Oversees the Finance and Accounting activities through staff to ensure the day to day accounting activities of the company are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversees the timely and accurate financial statements for the Americas, including Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
  • Develops and Manages cost accounting activities for control and improvement.
  • Assists Sales Division Leaders in the quote review process with financial analysis to ensure accurate profitability targets.
  • Manages and leads project accounting activities for Service and Production Centers.
  • Provides financial forecasting, prepares the annual company budget, and manages the year-end fiscal audit by independent auditors.
  • Acts as a strategic business partner for the Sales and Service Divisions and the Production Center, providing accounting reports, analysis, control and improvement ideas.
  • Provides financial and budget variance analysis as required by the Head of the Support Center for Americas, the local management team and Kistler Group Company.
  • Oversees the Information Technology (ITC) support staff with a strategy focused on infrastructure and SAP to improve utilization and end user support.
  • Ensures financial compatibility with company processes contained in the current ERP System management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • Work Experience: 10+ years in accounting; 3-5 years management
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four (4) year college plus ten (10) years experience in accounting including 3-5 years management experience.
  • Experience in managing accounting functions in a manufacturing company.
  • Ability to maintain accounting policies and procedures in conformance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with SAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Physical qualifications: ability to sit at a desk 90% of the workday; ability to use a computer (current ERP System, Windows software, Banking software) 70% of the workday.
