Job Description

The Operations Program Manager, located in our Saginaw, Michigan facility, is responsible for directing activities across all company functions to meet operational objectives including schedule, efficiency, product delivery, process improvement, contract compliance, and productive customer relationships.  The Operations Program Manager will also contribute to meeting the strategic objectives of the business area.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects to ensure the successful performance and continuous improvement of the operation. 
  • Assign responsibilities, establish milestones, monitor adherence and provide regular progress reporting to leadership team.   
  • Oversee all aspects of projects.
  • Track and report cost, schedule, and contract performance of each customer and product. 
  • Act as primary point of contact for Sales and Customer Service to obtain information required by the customer.  May also be required to interface directly with customer. 
  • Identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources.  
  • Participate in the negotiation process with customers and suppliers when required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers.

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training in a technical support and/or leadership role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Knowledge of commercial and military aviation markets and customers
  • Knowledge of machining and assembly of complex mechanical products
  • Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing launch activities 
  • Experience in driving cost out of products and business operations
  • Background in a technical field (e.g. engineering) preferred
  • Due to ITAR regulations, must be a U.S. Person

 

Certificates and Licenses:

PMI (Program Management) certification preferred.
