Job Description

Primary Purpose:

  • The primary purpose of the Safety & Recruiting Coordinator is planning, implementing and overseeing the safety compliance, recruitment, policy administration, and employee guidance.

Essential Functions:  

  • Develop, implement and administer OH&S Management System 
  • Manage workers compensation claims 
  • Conduct accident investigations 
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards; conduct risk assessments 
  • Coordinate and lead safety committees 
  • Analyze employee safety suggestions and coordinate corrective action 
  • Coordinate safety training 
  • Prepare and maintain all safety documentation, records and metrics 
  • Point of contact for recruiters and staffing agencies 
  • Manage recruiting sites; review resumes 
  • Interview candidates and conduct new hire orientations        


  • Degree in Human Resources or related field or 2+ years safety and recruiting experience 
  • Experience administering safety programs in a manufacturing environment 
  • Experience with OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 a plus 
  • Communication skills 
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Organizational and computer skills
