We're looking for a contingent Physical Therapist to provide care to our home and community based clients in the Flint, Michigan (Genesse County) area.

  • Contingent opportunity (6-10 hours per week)
  • Day shift

The Physical Therapist, as a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides appropriate assessment and therapeutic intervention to maximize the client's physical functioning. Active participation is required in discipline staff in services and educational programs.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team to develop interdisciplinary care plans for clients served by that team.
  • Provides evaluation and treatment using accepted Physical Therapy procedures, techniques, and modalities.
  • Provides client, family, and staff education and training as needed and documents appropriately.
  • Documents client evaluations, progress notes, care plans, discharge summaries, and outcomes data in accordance with existing criteria.
  • Participates in Care Conferences and Team Meetings and communicates with members of the team concerning client treatment as necessary.


  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Curriculum at an APTA recognized university or college.
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Michigan.
  • CPR certified.
  • Prefer 2 years' experience/exposure to a variety of physical therapy clients.
  • Ability to delegate work and responsibility to Physical Therapist Assistants, Therapy Service Technicians, students, and volunteers.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, families, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Analytical skills necessary to develop a treatment plan and modify treatment as the client progresses.
  • Valid driver's license.
