Job Description

Position Description:    

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems used in our high paced manufacturing environment including but not limited to electric motors, bale breakers, conveyors, pelletizers, grinders, extruders, recycling cleaning lines, boilers, compressors, air dryers, and any other equipment installed within Clean Tech on their assigned shift.


  • Equipment control and safe guarding
  • Work in a safe manner in compliance with all company safety rules and all local safety requirements. Identification and improvement of safety items to assure safe operation
  • Work in compliance to Clean Tech’s ISO Quality Policies, GMP , Operational Procedures and that High Standards of Workmanship are maintained at all times
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Predictive Maintenance
  • Mechanical and Electrical support
  • Process Trouble Shooting
  • Process Improvements
  • On and off line repairs
  • Process preparation (blade gapping, Start up prep assistance, etc)
  • Completion of documents related to job (parts slips, planned maintenance reports, service reports)
  • Training support
  • Collaboration with Reliability team on projects related to unit and group
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two year college, technical school or on the job training preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical systems including ability to understand electrical prints/schematics
  • PLC programming experience including RSLogix 5/500, RSLogix 5000
  • Experience in working with industrial power including 480 volt 3 phase power
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to solve complex problems
  • Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills are desired
  • Computer experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Continuously standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequently climb extension ladders, kneel, bend frequently throughout shift
  • Occasionally work outside
