Webasto Roof Systems Inc. is currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor located at their Detroit plant in Plymouth, MI.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support both the Quality Engineer and the Supplier Quality Engineer
- Work within principles of the Colleague Handbook
- Optimizes the process of inspecting incoming products to ensure compliance with conformance specifications
- Coordinates the processing of Quality Communication Report on daily basis
- Coordinates the processing of monthly reports
- Insures proper tagging of all approved and rejected parts
- Serves as a technical resource / subject matter expert to Quality Auditors
- Process paperwork related to audit sheets, NCMs, inspection reports
- Interact with production team to ensure compliance to operator instructions through layered audit process
- Report all non-conformances found in products, processes and procedures
- Participate in gathering and inputting data with regards to scrap, rework, and audit findings
- Internal follow up with Quality Supervisor to determine the disposition of non-conformance materials
- Use tools, check fixtures, and other instruments to check the dimension of parts produced/warranty
- Support receiving inspection/GP12 when required
- Support a safe and clean work environment by following all 5S, safety, and environmental standards
- Follow IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures
- Look for continuous improvement ideas
- Support problem solving efforts 8D & 5 Whys
- In absence of Quality Supervisor, serves as back up for time sheets, Reports in Share point and KPI reports
- Line Board Support & Reporting
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Excellent analytical and math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints required
- Knowledge of principals of statistic and ability to chart statistical data
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of CAD and GD&T
- Ability to load/unload fixtures and parts from layout area.
- Ability to stand and work long hours
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Knowledge of gauges, micrometers, venires, templates, etc.
- Work generally performed in an office and manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Work with Engineering on Problem solving
- Good MS-Office an Excel skills
