Supervise all activities, personnel including team leaders, equipment and production
Ensure production OEE standards are met.
Monitor press change over and / or line set up efficiency
Assist with production scheduling to determine schedules for shift production and ensure schedule is met.
Monitor plant housekeeping and maintain standards.
Maintain outside areas of plant and outside storage areas.
Enforce all company policies and procedures.
Monitor and report all production documentation including setup documentation and OEE
Interface with Human Resources on all policy and discipline issues.
Address colleagues concerns and follow The Webasto Way.
Communicate with all on priority of special assignments or any issues needed
Monitor and maintain all safety equipment, Webasto owned equipment and tools (including tips, sandpaper, etc.)
Ensure quality standards are consistently adhered to.
Develop and monitor continuous improvement, process efficiency, and colleague development.
Effectively communicate with Senior Management any production exceptions
Insure Product Safety lessons learned are reflected in current product
Ability to stop production
Conduct design reviews internally and with customers
Establish production feasibility of designs working with vendors, engineers, and plant colleagues
Generate and follow-up on cost reductions
Communicate with other engineers to help develop product strategy for standardization
Act as senior level liaison with customers, suppliers and engineers
Supports and participates in new business development initiatives
Enforce safety policies and procedures
Shut down Lines for safety and quality issues
Discipline colleagues for violations of company policies, safety standards or quality
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma / GED equivalent
Previous supervisory experience
1 – 2 years production / manufacturing experience required
Leadership skills and abilities required
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
Ability to supervise in a fast pace, team oriented, manufacturing environment
Knowledge of plant and press safety beneficial, but will train
Ability and licenses to operate Hi – Lo beneficial, but will train
