Healthcare Software Implementation Manager

 

The Healthcare Software Implementation Manager is responsible for the implementation, planning, development and maintenance related to software implementation projects. This position will play an active role in complex projects such as software implementations, data archiving/scripting and upgrades as a business/technical collaborator, subject matter resource, and task/assignment resource.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination for iDoc upgrades & maintenance
  • Creates scope statements, defining size and planning parameters of projects or multiple groups/ tasks.
  • Daily customer end user support.
  • Daily Server and data traffic support.
  • Documents change control and system problems according to departmental procedures.
  • Documents requirements, defines scope, objectives, and formulates systems to parallel business strategies.
  • Interface integration support for customers.
  • Maintains software maintenance and service requests through service center tracking system.
  • Performs project management work to include: Customer process evaluation for current and proposed information flow, detailed system specifications, software deployment, testing and validation.
  • Prepares detailed work plans and target dates for all projects.
  • Provide after-hours support as required, some travel may be required.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs
  • Technical sales support for iDoc opportunities.
  • Technical support for onsite customer IT

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Communicates well and builds strong relationships with customers
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical and business issues
  • Demonstrated strong organization, time management and project management
  • Knowledge of sales and demo processes
  • Ability to provide Interface support and maintenance
  • Ability to manage and complete project requirements
  • Knowledge of the iDoc application and server environments
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of interfaces and database concepts
  • Ability to provide application design and layout for development
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements
  • Experience with desktop automation tools (AutoIT, AutoHotKey) and/or scripting languages.

Education and Experience:

  • Background in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required, OR an equivalent combination of education, certifications and/or experience.
  • Workflow analysis, Application training, Application set up, Go-live support, and Post go-live support.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and data migration/extraction.
  • Minimum of three years of IT data services experience, software implementation and support.
  • Any certifications related to software applications, technology infrastructure and/or a clinical specialization is an advantage.
