Summary of Position

Maintains and processes payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions, and other payroll functions. Compiles and enters payroll data, such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, union dues to be withheld, and employee identification number from time sheets and other records; ensures employees are paid accurately and on time; and keeps payroll files up to date. Checks time-worked inputs for calculating, coding, or other errors and makes applicable changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Review, Save and Import TEP batches

· Enter employee time

· Balance Time/Distribute Time

· Run union dues adjustment reports

· Create new batches for adjustments

· Gross pay review then gross to net processing

· Create payroll check file

· Run weekly payroll reports

· Process reimbursements

· Ensure dues for vacation are correctly calculated

· Process bonus checks

· FOTC/Garnishment - process weekly payments for applicable states

· Process weekly expenses reimbursements

· Ensure that all paperwork is accurate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Onboarding)

· Contact new hires and send appropriate documents via DocuSign

· Ensure information is complete and all necessary paperwork is completed and compliant with payroll regulations

· Add/Update new hire/rehire information into Penta

· Verify union status for new and rehire employees

· Run missing timecard report to document inactive status in Penta

· Assist with Employee Portal

· Unemployment claims

· Set up Unions and update unions

· Certified payroll weekly/monthly

· Complete release forms for inactive employees

· Participate in Payroll Department meeting

· Assist field foreman and employees with any payroll related questions

· Assist with Penta related questions

· Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

· 3+ years’ payroll experience

· Knowledge of payroll procedures

· Excellent verbal and communication skills

· Ability to perform detailed computations

Technical Skills

· MS Office Suite

· Data Entry Skills

· Penta Software

· Payroll Law Compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
