Job Description

You will be responsible for the maintenance of the physical condition of property and equipment according to company guidelines and standards, and protecting the property and equipment from damage, loss, and deterioration.

The Maintenance Technician position is located at Gateway of Grand Blanc in Holly, MI.

Career Specifics:

  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • Pay rate $18-$22/ hour, based on skill level

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years apartment industry experience
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • CPO certification preferred 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage a team of 2- A Maintenance Technician and a Groundskeeper
  • Complete apartment turns
  • Complete service requests
  • Complete emergency and preventative repairs to prevent damage or deterioration
  • Manage capital improvement and bid solicitations
  • Schedule and coordinate vendors
  • Maintain adequate inventory and condition of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials
  • Document the replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters etc. in all units as well as track repairs
  • Maintain maintenance budgets and expenses
